And our DVD this month is August: Osage County, which was first released in 2013. It contains a star-studded cast: Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Juliette Lewis, Sam Shepard, Ewan McGregor and Benedict Cumberbatch, to name but a few. Directed by John Wells and based on the award-winning play by Tracy Letts (who is a man, in spite of the name), it describes a dysfunctional family whose members gather at their home in rural Oklahoma.
