compare niente meno che nella nuova elegantissima linea 5 della metropolitana
di Milano, i cui responsabili non hanno evidentemente ritenuto opportuno
chiedere la consulenza di un madrelingua. Ecco cosa avrebbero dovuto scrivere...

This sign (left) was photographed on the Milan Underground’s otherwise perfect new “Line Five.” The city authorities dedicated a lot of time, energy and money to building the driverless line, but they should also have invested a relatively modest amount in hiring an English language consultant. That person would probably have suggested the words that can be found in this sign (below left).
