Aarrgghh!!! - Special offer!

Febbraio 2016

We know that times are hard but a museum that gives away children is disturbing to say the least. Not only that, it’s probably illegal. Yet that’s what seems to be going on at Civita di Bagnoregio, near Viterbo. Have the police been informed? Actually, this is another masterpiece of mistranslation and we’d like to thank Danilo Larivera for spotting it. What the museum’s staff should have written was: “Price of admission €1. Free admission for children.” Not only that, these signs usually define the age of children: “Free admission for children under the age of...” Let’s hope that someone at the museum reads Speak Up!

If you see English mistakes (in Italy, the UK, anywhere!) that make you scream “Aarrgghh!!!” take a photo (please make sure it’s in focus!) and send it to redazione@speakupmagazine.it
We will publish the best (that is, the worst) both here and on our Facebook page.
