Thanks to the efforts of our reader Nina De-Zan, the saga of Milan’s mystery pawn continues. In our September issue we wrote about the confusion between “pedestrian” and “pawn,” a chess piece (click here). Now someone has decided to correct the mistake, but only partially. “Pawn” has become “walker” (click here to enlarge the image). If there are any Speak Up readers working for Milan city council, then will they please note that the correct word is “Pedestrians” (which is plural).  Let’s see what happens next...
