Aarrgghh!!! A boring bar?

Il bar della piazza. O forse un bar noioso? A un madrelingua inglese questo bar milanese, “Square Bar”, potrebbe far sorgere qualche dubbio, per via del doppio senso della parola “square”. Venderà panini "classici”, “tradizionali” e “un po’ banali” forse? Vabbè, se sono anche buoni: nessun problema!

This sign was spotted in Milan (Click here to enlarge the image). The bar in question is in a piazza or square and, presumably, the owners wanted to call it “il bar della piazza.” To make the name more chic they translated it into English. Unfortunately, the adjective square in both British and American slang means “boring” or “conservative,” and so this is a “boring bar!”
