Extraordinary English! Courses with a Difference

Maggio 2014
Be inspired in the City of Spires

di ELCS - The English Language Consultancy Service

Where better to study English literature, arts and culture than the world-famous city of Oxford? Home to the oldest university in the English-speaking world, Oxford is the perfect setting for intellectual learners who have a passion for literature and the arts. They should also have the ability to make a critical analysis of stylistic traits in writing, photography and art, or to discuss the social context of poetry, music and the theatre. Much of the course takes the form of guided discussion and debate in which participants are encouraged to perfect their powers of persuasion.
Sophisticated students with an upper intermediate level of spoken English (B2) and teachers of English literature will find this course both interesting and stimulating. The arts and cultural aspects will include a critical look at art, photography, modern cinema and television. Appreciation will continue outside the classroom with tours of Oxford, a theatre visit and a trip to London.
These courses run for two weeks during the month of July. Accommodation is available on a half-board basis in local families or in self-catering residences. Early booking is advised because places are limited.
